Just a small part from the book.

“Yuri, take the bracelet and leave. I’ll keep mom occupied for you…”

Yuri smiled. After the bracelet and glancing at it, a hint of mockery appeared in her eyes. She couldn’t bring herself to fancy the craftsmanship of such a poorly made bracelet. Yet it made sense. After all, it was only worth a few hundred thousand. It was clearly customized at a small workshop. In her eyes, it was worthless.

Just when everyone thought Yuri was going to accept the bracelet, her next action shocked everyone. She flung  it at the window and threw it right out. The bracelet landed in the bushes. Everyone gasped in disbelief, unable to believe that such a thing would happen.

Grace was stunned. When she finally reacted, she began to scream. “Yuri! What in earth are you doing? That’s your sister’s favorite bracelet, a token of her appreciation! She kindly gave it to you and you just throw it away?” Similarly, Taylor was dumbfounded, looking incredulously out the window, revealing a heartbrokenness in her eyes.

“All these years, I’ve never accepted anything you’ve provided for me, nor have I taken any of them. As for the clothes I wear, my backpack and the contents inside, I bought all of them with the money I earned from working part time. None of it has to do with the Harveys. From now on, I’ll have nothing to do with the Harveys either!” With that, she walked out the door without looking back, leaving everyone in the Harvey residence standing still and dumbfounded.
